Categories of Membership

Active:                 Graduates from programs recognized by the Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA). 

Affiliate:              Anyone (excluding a person who qualifies for Active membership) who is interested in the objectives of the HRABC and is engaged in the Health information or allied field.

Student:              Students currently enrolled in a CHIMA recognized Health Information Management (HIM) program, who has never been certified with CHIMA. 

Retired:               Active members who have officially retired from the workforce (HIM or non-HIM related) and are 55 years of age or older.
